Kyle Evans believes he’s got his high school life all figured
out. He’s a star basketball player and he hangs out almost exclusively with the popular
athletes at Sainsbury High School. But Kyle’s outlook begins to change when he runs into Lukas
Connor, a former friend from elementary school, who encourages him to try out for
the school theater production of Oliver! Kyle
doesn’t take the suggestion seriously and even resents Luke for making it until he discovers his girlfriend Jenna is
also in the production and wants him to try out too. What begins as a lark turns into something Kyle discovers that
he enjoys—maybe even as much as basketball. His attitude toward non-jock kids at the school also changes as, despite their differences, Kyle quickly makes some good
friends within the theater crowd.

Fifteen-year-old Kyle Evans has been a
jock for years--a triple threat basketball player who can dribble, pass or shoot
with considerable skill. But once he decides to try out for the school musical
production at Sainsbury High, Kyle finds there is much more to life than
hightops and hookshots. Conflicting priorities cause problems between Kyle and
his coaches, teachers, teammates and friends. And when his buddy Lukas becomes
the target of homophobic hatred, Kyle is left with some difficult choices to
make.

Symbolism: What symbols does the autor use?    What do they seem to represent?
The autor uses a basketball as a symbolism of the Basketbal Court because one of the main characters that is KYLE plays the sport of basketball.

And for the theather he uses the stage or the teather itself, because kyle does enter to theater audicions and the theater teacher calls him to his pone and tell him he is will be at the show.

Chapter 1:
Charles Dickens tale: an orphan bowl in outstreched hands, and the raggedy outline of Fagin Rubbing his hands together. It was a kind of a book the kid read with his mom when he was  age 8, he even had saw the movie on DVD like 3 or 4 times it was his moms favorite, his mom loved the music and he too. Ben Stillman's; was kind of a bully that played basketball.
Lukas Connor  one of his prime bulling targets he wasent that atletic and becuse he liked preperformed plays, sing and dance and thats why he was easy to pick on.

I choose this book because I like to play basketball and when, I saw the book cover that said crossover I was like interested on that book  and i do not like book so I thought this is the time to say lets go Reading for first time.
I had never read a book on my 14 years old life so this is the momento I will read it and make my 100% project on my english class.
